Posted by Michael Jacobs on 8/23/2011 10:04:00 AM Great product
Posted by Ken Mountain on 8/23/2011 10:17:00 PM Would this be a good on camera light for the Canon T3i?

Replied by LA Color Online This would work great for Canon T3i. Size-wise, it fits very well with DSLR. It is also brighter than many on-camera LED lights out there in the market.
Posted by Dan on 8/25/2011 1:49:00 AM Looks like they've gone back to their old non-standard reversed-polarity power-input plug. Sorry, but that's a serious dealbreaker for any professional applications requiring interchangeable power supplies. Why on earth would they do something like this?

Replied by LA Color Online This product just like many other compact LED lights out there which are mainly for battery powered. Unlike traditional camera lights that consumes a lot power (thus requiring power supply), Comer 900 can be powered for over 8 hours using the NP-F970 battery. It is really not necessary to use any power supply.
Posted by Fer on 8/25/2011 3:00:00 AM I have 3 cm1800 and I love them !!! I like the upgrades that they made ( on/off switch, dimmer and metal shoe ). The non-standard reversed-polarity power-input plug is still the same ( only complain ). I use a nrg belt to power it, because I don't like to put more weight to the camera !!! I will wait for the new redisign 1800. Thank you !!!

Replied by LA Color Online Thank you for your comment. We constantly provide feedback to Comer to enhance the products. This will be the next thing we will request Comer to address.
Posted by Andres on 8/25/2011 4:33:00 AM Hi I have CM-900 (first model) and I´m very happy with it.
Is this model smaller than the first model? less weight? Thanks

Replied by LA Color Online Andres, this is the same Comer 900 light except it comes with metal shoe, and a full dimmer (instead of 2 levels of brightness)
Posted by Ricardo Evangelista on 8/25/2011 9:53:00 AM $$$$???? Link $ Please

Replied by LA Color Online Ricardo, there're 4 links right below the photos and video above points to the actual product pages.
Posted by Sri on 8/25/2011 11:34:00 AM Looks great. Will wait for some more reviews.
Cheers
Sri

Replied by LA Color Online Sri, we have been selling Comer 900 for years. It is not exactly new. The new version is the enhancement added to the light including metal shoe and a full dimmer. You can see more reviews in each of the product page.

Comer CM-LBPS900 LED Light (Sony Battery)
Comer CM-LBPC900 LED Light (Canon Battery)
Comer CM-LEX900 LED Light (Sony EX1/EX3 Battery)
Comer CM-LBPP900 LED Light (Panasonic Battery)
Posted by Michael on 8/25/2011 4:59:00 PM I want one that can use Panasonic batteries like VBG260 or VBG6 or older similar batteries for DVX. Until then I will hold off buying this light despite that I like it a lot, but no Panasonic battery adapter is a deal breaker for me. Maybe someone can point to a Panasonic-to-Sony adapter plate that can be used with this light?

Replied by LA Color Online Panasonic, Canon, Sony etc, they all releases many different type of batteries. The CGA series is the old and more popular Panasonic models.

There're also many camera lights out there can only use AA batteries or some proprietary batteries. The Comer light accepts also the widely popular L-series batteries. The NP-F570 battery we have can power this light for 2 hours, yet it is only $18.
Posted by Vladimir on 8/26/2011 12:02:00 PM I ordered I bought Comer CM900 to compliment my Canon XF100 camcorder after trying Litepanels MicroPro LED which I was not satisfied with.

Come CM900 utilizes the canon batteries that I use with Canon XF100 which is a big plus. But what I really like in this small light is the ability to generate very powerful light in such a small package. The build quality is very good as well.

The guys from LA Color were very supportive and responsive. Thanks!

Replied by LA Color Online Vladimir, glad you like the Comer 900 light.
