Hey! Thanks for all these informative posts. I've found that they have been really helpful. My question is about the two Comer lights you have for sale. Is there a huge difference between the two to justify the $100+ price difference? I am just getting into wedding videography, and I will be filming a friend's wedding alone this fall. I need a light I can use in the reception and also to film interviews. Would you recommend the 1800 over the 900 for this purpose?

I'm sorry if you have already answered something like this before. I've been looking around for 2 weeks now and can't seem to decide between the two lights.

Libra, there is quite a difference between Comer 1800 and Comer 900 light. The obvious one is the light output. Comer 1800 measures 1800 lux at 1 meter distance which is double the brightness of the 900 light. Comer 1800 has a dimmer switch goes from 0% to 100%. Comer 900 only has 2 level or brightness settings. Comer 900 has a standard accessory shoe on top to mount additional accessory (e.g. microphone). Comerr 800 does not. There is also the weight difference too. Let us know if you have any more questions.

For wedding, I would recommend getting Comer 1800 with both F770 and F970 battery. The dimmer is very useful for interview (you don't want to blind the interviewee). Most receptions held in dim ballrooms. That is where Comer 1800 shines with the strong output, wide spread, and the flexibility of the barn door and condenser lens. Also, use F770 battery during the day for overall lighter weight. Then use F970 battery at reception so you can have all day covered.

Hi, just reading your statement "Testing the Comer 900 LED light. When shooting close up, the light will be too bright causing over exposure. I added a small piece of foam on the orange gel to tone down the intensity.
"...where is the orange gel on the 900 located?

The orange gel is the top piece on the 900 light. You can see it in the video.
